my childhood is 2 years old does not respond when called. his pedition has ask for a hearing test to be done .Should I go ahead and get it done.
children start responding to their name by 8-9 months of age. however if your child does not seem to respond to any sound then definitely you should get a formal hearing screen done. if your child enjoys TV, music get alarmed by doorbells closing year with train whistles or any alarms and at the same time does not seem to respond to his or her own her name then he or she needs to undergo a comprehensive Autism screening for early diagnosis in addition to formal hearing screening.
